Tessa is a senior intelligence executive and strategic leader with over 30 years of military and civilian service, specializing in complex technical programs, resource operations, and interagency collaboration. Since 2009, she has served in a variety of defense intelligence senior executive positions, including as Deputy Director for the Directorate for Science and Technology and Chief of the Office of Corporate Communications at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). At DIA, she delivered focused Science and Technology programs, oversaw research and development, and acted as the principal advisor for public affairs, congressional relations, and strategic messaging. Prior to her executive leadership roles, Tessa served as a Senior Program Analyst at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, where she led the U.S. Government-wide investment strategy for the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative. Earlier in her career, as a military officer and civilian with the U.S. Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit, she managed complex environmental engineering projects across Alaska, leading joint efforts with local, tribal, state, and federal stakeholders. Throughout her years of service, Tessa has consistently demonstrated the ability to lead strategy formulation and execution across a diverse array of mission sets.
