Ms. Janice Haith is a senior cybersecurity/ Risk Management and IT leader with extensive experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD). She has directed activities establishing strategic visions, policy, and procedures for multiple operations within DoD and has advised corporations on potential new business opportunities; facilitated meetings with senior federal officials in DoD and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) concerning new IT/cybersecurity competencies; participated in Red and Pink Team review processes for government proposal responses; and established strategic commercial partnerships with small businesses and major IT companies.

A member of the Senior Executive Service (SES), Ms. Haith had an extremely successful career in defense IT and cybersecurity operations management. Most recently, was Senior Director, Strategy (Federal), for Oracle Corporation’s Public Sector Division, where she supervised and managed professional staff in the development of short- and long-term business strategies to enable expansion of Oracle products and service in the Federal Government.

Ms. Haith held multiple positions of leadership within DoD, ultimately serving as Director of the Department of Navy Deputy Chief Information Officer (DDCIO-N) within the United States Navy (DCNO for Information Warfare). In that role, she managed direct activities to ensure “recoup” of the $2.1 billion SECNAV-directed IT efficiencies, and all US Navy IT activities related to Title 40 (Clinger-Cohen Act). She served as the US Navy CIO in accordance with the Act for cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, information management, IT, IT portfolio management, functional are management, and governance.

Previously, as Director of Enterprise Operations and Federal Information Sharing Executive for the DoD Chief Information Office, Ms. Haith directed activities for DoD Network Operations (NetOps) on both the unclassified and classified information transports and facilitated information-sharing capabilities both internal and external to the DoD within the Intelligence and Homeland Defense communities, with coalition and allied partners, and with state, local, and tribal entities in support of the DoD Information Sharing Strategy. She served as the primary DoD Senior Executive between policy and operational entities relative to DoD Enterprise transition for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), a new classification-marking schema.

Ms. Haith earned her BA in sociology and criminal justice from the Hampton Institute (VA) and her MS information systems and services from the University of Maryland. She has completed educational and training programs that include the Vanguard Senior Executive Development Program, the Defense Acquisition University Acquisition Management Program, and National Defense University CIO/Information Assurance Certification. Ms. Haith in the recipient of numerous awards, including the Women in Defense Woman of the Year for IT, Exceptional Civilian Service Awards and Awards for Excellence from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and US Air Force and US Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Awards. She holds Active Secret, TS/SCI Eligible Clearance.
