Eric joined The Roosevelt Group as Senior Advisor in August of 2024. He is a proven executive-level leader of high-performing Department of Defense and Industry organizations. He has succeeded at the program, portfolio, and corporate levels delivering warfighting, space and cyber capabilities to the intelligence community, the Department of Defense, and other customers.

Eric a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the Naval Post Graduate school, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Astronautical Engineering, respectively. He is a career Naval Aviator and authorized to wear the Information Warfare Officer pin.

His flag officer assignments include the Reserve Director for Maritime Operations, United States Pacific Fleet, Chief Engineer, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command and the Deputy Program Executive Officer (PEO) Enterprise Information Systems. Ruttenberg assumed the responsibilities as the Reserve Deputy Commander, United States Pacific Fleet in October 2023. In this capacity, he supported the Director and Commander in the functional areas of intelligence, operations, theater security cooperation, deliberate and functional planning, communications, training and Reserve affairs.

Eric has held a number of positions in industry. Prior to his recall to Active Duty, he was the Chief Strategy Officer at Zeta Systems and a Senior Executive and Strategic Advisor at IBM.
