Innovative Army Logistician Brings Diverse Enterprise Leadership, Vision, and Insight
WASHINGTON, November 2, 2020 (Newswire.com) – The Roosevelt Group (TRG), a government affairs and strategic advocacy firm specializing in defense, intelligence, and national security, announced today that Major General Stephen Farmen(U.S Army Ret.) has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor.
General Farmen is an expert in transportation and logistics who is known for generating innovative solutions to complex problems, increasing productivity, leading change, challenging status quo, and delivering results. His visionary leadership will provide strategic direction and alignment of purpose, profit margins, and future possibilities for our clients.

General Farmen brings a unique set of skills to The Roosevelt Group and its clients after 34 years in the Army. Prior to his retirement last month, General Farmen served as the 21st Commanding General of the U.S. Army Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), the Army Service Component Command to the U.S. Transportation Command and a Major Subordinate Command to U.S. Army Materiel Command. SDDC provides deployment and distribution capabilities to meet national objectives.

General Farmen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond, VA and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He was the first-ever U.S. Army War College Fellow at the Center for Transportation and Logistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
