Peggy Poore

Major General Peggy Poore retired from the U.S. Air Force after 30 years of distinguished service. Prior to retirement, she served as Commander, Air Force Personnel Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, which AFPC commanders around the world have the right number of skilled Air Force personnel to conduct the mission. During her tenure, Major General Poore became deeply involved in talent recruitment and management across the Air Force.
Major General Poore’s experience spans all areas of the Air Force and personnel operations through previous positions serving as an executive officer, protocol officer, and squadron section commander. She has commanded at the squadron, group, and wing levels. Her staff tours include a congressional liaison officer in the Secretary of the Air Force’s Office of Legislative Liaison, several positions in the Air Force General Officer Matters Office, the executive officer to the Deputy Chief of Staff of Personnel, the Director of Manpower and Personnel at Headquarters Air Combat Command, and the senior military assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force.
