Jared Wyrick

Jared Wyrick, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering. He received a Master’s Degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2005.

He served onboard Fast Attack (SSN), Guided Missile (SSGN) and Ballistic Missile (SSBN) submarine in Pacific and Atlantic Theaters of operations supporting a variety of mission areas.

His final sea tour was as Commanding Officer of USS WEST VIRGINIA (SSBN-736)(BLUE), home ported in Kings Bay, GA. From September 2017 through June 2020, he completed four strategic deterrent patrols, and his team was awarded the Battle “E” award.

His shore assignments included Company Officer at the United States Naval Academy; Executive Officer aboard the Moored Training Ship (MTS) 626, one of two Nuclear Prototype Training Units in Charleston, SC; Congressional Staffer for Congressman Randy Forbes (VA-04), Chairman of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee, through the Congressional Fellowship program; Inspector for the Navy’s Inspector General Office; and Fleet Principal Assistant Program Manager at NAVSEA PMS 425, the Navy’s Submarine Combat and Weapon Control Systems office. In June 2023, he became Program Executive Officer, Maritime, at U.S. Special Operations Command, a role from which he retired in August 2026.
