Robert “Bobby” Kinney joined the Roosevelt Group as a Senior Advisor in the spring of 2021. During his 31 years of military service, Bobby served at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, major command, numbered air force and National Guard Bureau levels. Most recently, he served as the Missions Director at the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC) where he was responsible for leading artificial intelligence (AI) coordinating activities and with accelerating the delivery of $250M per year in high-impact AI projects across the Department of Defense (DoD). Before this assignment, he commanded an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) and attack wing consisting of the MQ-9, Distributed Ground Station (DGS), and targeting mission sets where he successfully oversaw more than 5,000 ISR and strike missions in support of contingency operations across the world. Bobby is a career intelligence officer and was instrumental in the stand-up of more than 20 Air National Guard ISR units and has served extensively within the Air Force ISR enterprise having deployed around the world in support of contingency operations in Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the homeland. He still serves in the Air National Guard and is assigned to United States Forces Korea.
Bobby received an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maine, a Masters of Business Administration from Webster University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He is published and is a graduate of programs at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and the Wharton School of Executive Education, University of Pennsylvania.
