Kevin M. Felix, Colonel, U.S. Army (Ret.)
Kevin Felix joined The Roosevelt Group in the summer of 2015 as a Senior Advisor. Kevin is a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Army with combat command and expertise in strategic trends, future force strategies and Army innovation, leadership development and BRAC.
Prior to joining the Roosevelt Group, Kevin served as the Chief of the Future Warfare Division for the Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC), where he planned and conducted the Chief of Staff of the Army’s Future Study Plan, Unified Quest. He was also responsible for conducting seminars and wargames to develop short- and long-term strategies for critical warfighting challenges for the Army of 2025 and beyond.
Before serving as the Chief of the Future Warfare Division, Kevin was a National Security Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, where he focused on improving leadership training within the Army through decision science labs in the academic community.
Kevin’s 30-year career as an Army Field Artillery and Foreign Area Officer, and as an Army strategist during staff and operational assignments, included battalion and brigade commands in combat. He served multiple assignments in the 82D Airborne Division and 101st Airborne Division, deployed to Operation Desert Storm, and conducted multiple deployments to Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also served in the Pentagon on the Presidential Base Realignment and Closure Commission and on the Joint Staff, as a desk officer in J-5, Middle East Regional, and as the Executive Assistant to the Assistant to the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the United States Military Academy and a Master of Arts in international relations from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
